New Partnership | Verizon Small Business Digital Ready Program | Open to All!
In partnership with Next Street and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Verizon Small Business Digital Ready aims to focus on women and minority owned business in under-resources communities. The online curriculum provides resources and in-depth support including coaching, networking and incentives! Great Lakes Women's Business Council is partnering with Next Street and LISC to bring this new online curriculum to small businesses across Michigan! The program is designed to give small businesses the tools they need to thrive in today's digital economy, including access to personzlied learning plans, coaching from experts and networking opportunities with diverse, industry-specific businesses.You can register to be part of this free program by registering with the link below.
AWBC Names Shawntay Dixon Marsha Bailey Leadership Award Winner

Shawntay Dixon, Women’s Business Center Program Manager of Great Lakes Women’s Business Council (WBC) has been named 2021 Marsha Bailey Leadership Award Winner. Shawntay was selected by the Association of Women's Business Centers for this national award for her servent leadership and commitment to excellence. There are over 140 SBA Womens Business Centers in the United States who support the efforts of women-owned businesses. Shawntay is the program manager for the Great Lakes WBC Women's Business Center which also hosts the portal, Michigan Women's Marketplace. We congratulate Shawntay on this notable recognition and her efforts in growing women business owners and their businesses.
